"I’ve been with State Farm insurance for 20+years, in Michigan had no problems with anything, if a problem they would text or call me, thank you Katelyn 🩷 here Florida, I had automatic payment forever and I broke my ankle last year, received a suspended license, due to cancellation of insurance WTH?? When I called I had to pay double premiums to reinstate….. recently I purchased a new vehicle was told they added new vehicle and I had 30 days to sell or to call them back to continue coverage, when I called to see what it would be to keep both vehicles, multiple vehicle and house insurance, told me my previous car policy was terminated and I had to pay $139 today for coverage on previous vehicle?????"

"Do not be misled by the high overall rating; if you are a long-term client expecting a 'local agent' relationship, look elsewhere. My husband has been a loyal State Farm policyholder for 20 years, yet we were treated with a level of indifference and lack of transparency that is simply unacceptable. Our experience followed a systemic pattern of broken promises. We were given a specific quote to keep us from switching to a competitor—only to have our first bill come in significantly higher than promised. Especially with the legislative breaks given to insurance companies in Florida and the record dividends being discussed, hitting a 20-year customer with an unexplained rate hike feels like a 'say anything to keep the premium' tactic. Before transferring, we reached out to ask this office to re-evaluate our policy and provide a fair quote for a time-sensitive refinance, but we were met with total radio silence for over 48 hours. The service level is equally disappointing. On February 10th, I requested a simple name addition to our insurance cards. After being told it would be handled by 'end of day,' I followed up at 4:15 PM—well before the 5:00 PM closing time—only to have the phone ring and ring with no answer. I finally received the cards the next day with an explanation that both Kendall and Jena were 'out of the office.' It is baffling why a staff member would promise a same-day turnaround when the necessary agents weren't even present to handle it. A local agent is supposed to provide advocacy and a relationship, both of which are nonexistent here. My experience mirrors 1-star reviews from 4 and 8 years ago regarding ghosted inquiries and a lack of accountability. We have since transferred to the Inverness office, where we are finally having our coverage properly re-evaluated and where the phone is answered on the first ring. After 20 years of loyalty, we deserved honesty and basic 'Business 101' communication."
